Buenos Dias! We’re in Bogota!
We had a great day of smooth travel and are so grateful to
have arrived in Colombia with a healthy team and all our luggage!
Last night we checked in to Hotel San Pablo around midnight,
and though everyone was tired, we were all happy and excited to be here.
Bogota is a beautiful city. It is very mountainous, and the
weather is just heavenly. On Sundays the street in front of our hotel is closed
down to motor traffic so people can use it for walking, bicycling, etc. Makes
for some great people watching while we sit outside enjoying the 60-something
degree temperatures here. Don’t be jealous southern friends, we’ll be right
back to the sweltering heat and suffocating humidity in just a couple hours.
The plan is to leave the hotel around 8:30 this morning to
head back to the airport, enjoy a crowd favorite meal at Crepes and Waffles,
then hop a short flight to Leticia.
We’re also really excited to add Monique Ouellette to the
team today. Monique is part of a ministry based in Bogota, and she is joining
us for the week in Leticia…bonus points for the fact that she speaks Spanish
and will be able to translate for us! Bless you, Monique!
Please continue to pray for good health and safe travels
during this last leg.
Time to go! Next stop Leticia!
For the generations…
Sarah
